Patricia Hammonds currently holds the position of Business Development Manager at Brookhaven and has been a part of the staff for 3 years. She attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She has served as the Director of Admissions for a large private psychiatric facility as well as a Network Territory Manager  for a large behavorial health group. She is a former State of Tennessee Human Rights Commissioner and has served on several boards and initiatives in the community.

Michelle Jones

Michelle Jones received her B.A. in Family Studies from The University of Maryland and her Master of Social Work from The University of Tennessee. She is a Licensed Masters Social Worker in the state of Tennessee and has worked in the field of mental health for over 7 years. She is trained in DBT and "music and meditation". She has breadth of experience and knowledge working as a Clinical and Administrative Director, Psychotherapist, Intake and Admissions Coordinator and Discharge Coordinator in Inpatient, Partial Hospital and Outpatient levels of care.

She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Tennessee and has worked in the field of mental health for over 15 years. She has a breadth of experience and knowledge working as a Psychotherapist, in both Inpatient and Outpatient settings. She is trained in a wide variety of modalities including CBT, TFCBT, Meditation, Mindfulness, DBT, and EMDR. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Tennessee, and has worked in the field of mental health for over 6 years. She has a breadth of experience and knowledge working as a domestic violence advocate, case manager, forensic social worker, and clinical therapist in Inpatient, Partial Hospital, and Outpatient levels of care. Her training includes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, meditation, and assessment and treatment of suicide & self-mutilation. She is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society and the Phi Alpha honor society of social workers.

Christine Hannon

Christine Hannon is a counselor who is focused on helping women work through depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, and work related stressors. Christine Hannon has an M.S. in Counseling from the University of Arkansas and an undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Alabama. She is currently working on her PhD in Counselor Education from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She has worked in the field of mental health for 6 years and her clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults at a psychiatric inpatient hospital and with non-traditional and traditional college students being treated for bipolar, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse issues. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Tennessee Counseling Association.

Marta Finnegan

Marta Finnegan received her Bachelor of Arts. in Psychology from Millsaps College and her Master of Counseling from Webster University.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee. She has worked in the field of mental health and substance abuse for over 13 years. Marta has worked in a variety of settings within the field, including residential therapist, outpatient therapist, case manager, assessment leader in a detoxification unit, and facilitated interventions. She has completed the MARI Level II training and is working towards being a MARI practitioner, participated in DBT training, CBT training, and is a Certified Ropes Course Facilitator. Marta has been with Brookhaven Retreat for 3 years.

Sara J. Nelson

Sara J. Nelson received her B.A. in Communications from Spring Arbor University, MI. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as Grief and Loss. She has true life experience in this program because she was a client at Brookhaven Retreat in 2008. Sara took classes and received certifications so that she could come back and work at Brookhaven. She is the first Alumni to return to Brookhaven as staff.

Megan Herscher

Megan received her B.A. in  Communication Sciences from James Madison University, her Master of Arts in Counseling from Marymount University, and is currently enrolled in her doctorate in Counselor Education from The University of Tennessee. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both the state of Tennessee and Washington DC, holds the certification of Nationally Certified Counselor and has worked in the field of mental health for over 6 years. She has breadth of experience and knowledge working as a Clinician and Administrative Director in both inpatient and outpatient levels of care. She is a member of ACA (American Counseling Association) and her work has been published in a peer reviewed journal.
