Clinical Director

The Clinical Director is responsible for the management and planning of how services are delivered through developing policies and procedures that help the organization maintain compliance with evidence-based practices, industry standards and health care laws and regulations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assuring the quality of services delivered to all residents through the use of evidence-informed practice and oversight of multidisciplinary, client-specific treatment plans
  • Regular evaluation of clinical services to insure their overall effectiveness and that they are consistent with the social, emotional, physical, mental, behavioral, spiritual, needs of the clients.
  • Ensure that services delivered are consistent with licensure and accreditation requirements.
  • Holds clinical authority in urgent and emergent cases.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in relevant field, Social Work Preferred
  • Five years of supervisory or managerial experience in a co-occurring/clinical setting required
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices of behavioral health services
  • Extensive knowledge of DBT and its application in a residential setting
  • Extensive knowledge of the methods and procedures used in diagnosing and treating psychiatric/substance abuse/co-occurring disorders.
  • Thorough knowledge of the current trends and developments in the field of behavioral health, with particular attention to addictions and co-occurring disorders
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate the practices, techniques and treatment procedures employed by clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices for treating women with substance abuse/co-occurring disorders

 

Licensure/Certification Desired:

  • Licensed independently in the state of Tennessee
  • LCSW or LMFT
