Brookhaven Retreat Exhibited at APA in Toronto in May

Brookhaven Retreat joined colleagues from across the U.S. and more than 50 other countries for the psychiatry event of the year, the 168th annual meeting of the American Psychiatric Association. This year’s theme of the meeting held in Toronto, Canada May 16-20, was Psychiatry: Integrating Body and Mind, Heart and Soul.

Brookhaven Retreat, which offers a unique voluntary residential program of mental health and substance abuse services designed to help women overcome depression, trauma, anxiety, personality disorders, and substance dependence among other diagnoses, obtained more than 400 leads from all over the world.

Brookhaven Retreat’s founder Jacqueline Dawes, consultant Dr. Lynn Swisher and primary therapist Katherine Myers answered questions at exhibitor Booth 948 about The Lily Program® , a 90-day individualized mental health treatment program offered exclusively at Brookhaven Retreat.

Dawes says, “We were so grateful to see all of the many doctors who have referred clients to us, had their clients return to them to share with us ideas, thoughts, suggestions, and to be united in the psychiatric movement towards women’s wellness as developers of new families.”

On-staff psychiatrist, Dr. Kelly Ownby attended courses and gained insight and in-depth knowledge designed to help improve patient care. She also met with renowned experts, earned credits, built peer relationships and discovered ground-breaking technology and new therapies and treatment options.

Brookhaven Retreat looks forward to exhibiting next year in the 169th APA meeting in Atlanta, GA.
